QUALITY HORSE CARE
AT HERITAGE ACRES FARM.
Our boarding barn is 96' by 40'. And a 60'x150' indoor riding arena. We
have 13 individual box stalls, each is 12'x12' and each has it's own 12'x72' private turn-out with lime-screenings base. We
clean the stalls daily and keep the private paddocks picked as well. There is also an enclosed tack room and a wash stall
with hot and cold water. The hay is stored in a separate building.
Horses have 20 acres of lush, green pastures
and a plentiful supply of fresh water. Also three private pastures for older horses or show horses. The pastures are mowed
several times a year to keep the weeds down. In the evening, they are brought back to the barn and they can spend the night
either in their stall or their private paddock, horse choice.

The horse is a grazing animal and is healthiest when given several
small meals a day rather than one big one. When winter comes, the horses are fed 4 times a day with grain and vitamin supplements
at the evening meal.
When the pastures freeze over, we usually put the horses out for the day so they can get some
exercise. However, when the temperatures or wind chill drops below 10 degrees, the horses are kept in their stalls. No fun
for us, because then the stalls get cleaned twice a day!
We don't keep livestock, we take care of people's pets! We
are constanly on the look-out for potential hazards to the horses as well as any symptoms of illness.
Our board fee
is $300 per month and for this you can rest easy knowing that your pet is receiving the best care possible!

We pride our
selves in being a farm that is willing to help each individual progress in their riding and training for themselves and
for their horses. Heritage Acres Farm is not only a first class facility
for your horse, but also comes with education for rider and horse and motivation to reach your goals.
|
You can use our "barn preferred" vet and farrier services or
specify your own. There may be some costs savings to you by sharing the "call" fees, but that is your decision to make.
All horses are required to have annual vaccinations and general physicals.
